Class description: Nettles, dandelions, and chickweed are all locally abundant in the PNW right now. Rather than consider these plants 'weeds' that need to be removed from your landscape, consider them as nutritious wild foods and spring tonics. Salty, bitter & green are a few tastes to describe nettles, dandelion, and chickweed, respectively. In this class, we will discuss the therapeutic properties and discuss ways to incorporate them into your lives. You will also make herbal acetracts (herbal vinegars) with these plants to take home.
